Recycled PP (rPP) Big Bag

An rPP big bag is a big bag whose body fabric contains 30% post-industrial recycled polypropylene.

It is made of a single material (PP) and is suitable for the PP recycling stream at the end of its life.

Why rPP?

  • Less virgin plastic — 30% of the raw material is recycled PP
  • Mono-material — Made of polypropylene; suitable for the PP recycling stream
  • Sustainability reporting — The recycled content is documented by a declaration from the raw material supplier

Food Contact

The rPP used comes from PP generated in the production process (post-industrial), not from post-consumer waste.

For products in contact with food, a declaration of compliance with (EC) 1935/2004 and (EU) 10/2011 is available on request.

Relation to the PPWR

The EU Packaging Regulation (EU) 2025/40 introduces minimum recycled content levels for plastic packaging from 2030. These targets count only post-consumer recycled plastic.

Post-industrial rPP does not count towards them, but it already reduces the amount of virgin plastic used in big bag production today.

Application Areas

Where is Recycled PP (rPP) Big Bag Used?
